Specification checklist

  • Full name, SKU, colour and variant: a series photo may not show every difference.
  • Fitting dimensions and adjustment range, separately from packaging dimensions.
  • Lumens, light colour, colour rendering and distribution.
  • Source type, cap, voltage, permitted power and whether bulbs are included.
  • IP, permitted operating conditions, weight and mounting method.
  • Controls and accessories: driver, remote, adapter, gateway or track system.

What the energy label tells you

The current light-source label uses the A–G scale and states consumption in kWh per 1,000 hours. Its QR code links to the model’s EPREL information. Old A+ and A++ classes cannot be directly converted into the new letters.

Not every luminaire is labelled in the same way as a replaceable bulb. Check whether the information concerns a light source, a containing product or a complete product classified as a light source.

Avoid installation surprises

Provide the installer with instructions, weight, fixing type, required cut-out and supply information. A suspended ceiling can require a different solution from a solid slab. Supplied fixings are not necessarily suitable for every surface.

Electrical work should be carried out by an electrician. This guide does not describe wiring connections or bypassing protection. Electrical protection classes such as II or III are separate from IP ratings.

Cleaning and serviceability

  • Follow the instructions, disconnect the supply and allow parts to cool.
  • Check permitted cleaning products for the metal, coating, glass or acrylic. Test an inconspicuous area only if the instructions allow it.
  • Keep liquids away from sockets, drivers and gaps. Do not use abrasives on delicate finishes.
  • Keep source and driver references, proof of purchase and instructions. Check the availability of correct parts before repairs.

Questions before buying

Does LED lifetime guarantee that many years of service?

No. Declared life depends on conditions and its definition; warranty has separate terms. Check the product documentation.

What if a specification is unclear?

Do not guess. Send the SKU and the precise issue, such as overall height or whether a driver is included, so we can confirm before purchase.
